Gender perspectives on a flipped classroom environment

The present paper investigates the gender perspective of flipped classroom. In particular, it considers how collaborative setting in-class group-work affect female population students. draws on an in-depth analysis interview with one such student. focus this was interactional collaboration between peers during group work activities in a mathematics course. Such is vital classroom arrangement. student, called Sofia, highlighted arguments value for deeper investigation. Bjerrum Nielsen’s framework four different perspectives (2003). Our illuminates number about interactions and interpretations challenges when collaborating groups setting. Arguments informs both context individual levels What realised case Sofia that there are dualistic viewpoints raised within all perspectives, sometimes conflicting each other. Result guidance from teacher formation necessary but will need careful considerations.
